Job Title: Financial Planning Manager

At Venterra Realty, we are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance department, you will be responsible for maintaining a robust hands-on approach to financial management, actively engaging in all aspects of the financial forecasting process.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Contribute to the preparation of accurate and insightful financial forecasts, variance analyses, and performance reports to provide actionable insights to senior management.
  • Create and maintain financial models to evaluate different scenarios, assess the impact of business decisions, and provide well-tailored variance commentary.
  • Assist in the requirements gathering, product selection, and implementation of a new budgeting and planning software solution to optimize financial operations.
  • Support improvements in financial processes, systems, and reporting capabilities to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Present financial information, analyses, and recommendations to finance leadership in a clear and concise manner.
  • Escalate financial issues, breaches of cash balance targets, and KPIs that exceed expectations.
  • Create ad hoc analysis as required by evolving business needs.
  • Maintain the post-investment review dashboard, providing recommendations to mitigate variances between actual and underwritten rates of return.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. An MBA or relevant professional designation (e.g., CPA, CFA) is highly preferred.
  • Min 5+ years of financial modeling experience; background in the multi-family sector is preferred.
  • Possess extensive experience building/supporting complex financial models, developing and monitoring metrics, and preparing advanced analytic analysis.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge and experience working within the application under pressure is required.
  • A relationship builder at all levels—internally and externally. A team player. Collaborates naturally, well, and easily. Confronts and resolves conflicts when necessary.
  • Confident, warm, understated with obvious business acumen. Strong personal presence and Venterra's Core Values resonate and align with his/her/their beliefs and behaviors.
  • Excellent communicator who enables the translation of complex and detailed financial and business information into concise informative messages. Must be a skilled writer as well as having strong presentation skills.
  • Maintains strong attention to detail, problem-solving abilities, and a results-driven mindset.
  • Shown a strong acumen to learn how businesses run and the financial frameworks that support them.
  • Well-read on Real Estate, economic, and business matters.
