Senior System Configuration Manager for Low Earth Orbit Satellite Network

Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Senior System Configuration Manager to join our team at Telesat Lightspeed. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring the successful deployment and operation of our revolutionary Low Earth Orbit (LEO) satellite network.
Key Responsibilities- Configuration Management: Develop and implement effective configuration management processes and procedures to ensure consistency and reliability across the LEO system.
- System Integration and Verification: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate and verify the system's hardware, software, and firmware components, ensuring seamless interactions and optimal performance.
- Release Management: Oversee the release process, working closely with technical teams to plan, execute, and validate releases, ensuring minimal disruptions to ongoing operations.
- Documentation and Library Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation, including system design, implementation, and testing records, as well as ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- A minimum of 3-6 years of experience in system configuration management, system integration, and verification, with a focus on satellite communications systems.
- Proven expertise in CM2, ANSI-EIA 649, and ISO 10007 standards, as well as excellent knowledge of software development lifecycle methodologies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders, including engineers, project managers, and senior executives.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate-level proficiency in using software tools for configuration management, such as Serena Dimensions or Polarion ALM.
The selected candidate will be based in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada, and will be required to obtain Canadian Reliability Clearance.
