Responsibilities

  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance tasks on mechanical and electrical systems, including heating ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC) systems, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and other building equipment.
  • Troubleshoot issues with mechanical and electrical systems, identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
  • Respond to service requests from tenants and staff, providing timely and efficient repairs and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records of work completed, including hours worked, materials used, and any issues encountered.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services and meet client expectations.
  • Participate in training and professional development to enhance technical skills and knowledge.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.

Requirements

  • High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience providing preventive and corrective maintenance on HVAC systems, pneumatic or hydraulic systems, or other building equipment.
  • Sound knowledge of processes and practices relating to facility operations and maintenance.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical and other building systems and equipment.
  • Possesses a strong environmental, health, and safety mindset.
  • Strong client-service orientation along with a high sense of urgency.
  • Knowledge and understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS).
  • Knowledge and understanding of HVAC Systems.
  • Effective communication skills for the purpose of data relay, exchange, feedback, and clarification.
  • Mentoring skills required to support lower-level technician's development.
  • Must be able and willing to work shifts, be available for on-call/standby, and emergency callouts as they arise.
  • Must strictly adhere to Health and Safety policies, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Must be capable of obtaining appropriate security clearance.
  • Hold a valid driver's license.

Education and Qualifications

  • High school diploma plus trades training and/or certification or licensing.
  • Building Operator Certification or equivalent through an accredited institution required.

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
