  • Oversight of risk assessments, incident response planning and execution, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Promotion of security awareness and training across the organization and provision of strategic guidance to stakeholders.
  • Establishment of strong partnerships with regulatory bodies, industry peers, and law enforcement to enhance CMHC's security posture and influence industry standards.
Profile

The ideal candidate is a seasoned security leader with a proven track record in risk management, cybersecurity, and emergency management. They excel in strategic thinking, operational execution, and stakeholder engagement, leveraging a collaborative leadership style that fosters innovation, inclusivity, and accountability within high-performing teams.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in information security, IT, management information systems, or a related field.
  • At least 13 years in leadership roles within risk management, cybersecurity, and emergency management, including 5 years of staff management experience.
  • Proven ability to lead and communicate security and emergency strategies in large organizations.
  • Extensive knowledge of security frameworks (ISO/IEC 27001, ITIL, COBIT, NIST) and best practices in risk assessment, cybersecurity, and disaster recovery.
