**Job Summary**

We are seeking a Senior Financial Strategist to join our senior management team as the Chief Financial Officer (CFO). The CFO will provide sound, progressive and engaging leadership while contributing to the effective corporate management of the organization.

The successful candidate will have a professional accounting designation (CPA), experience with First Nations government or local government, and a minimum of five (5) years of progressive financial leadership and business experience.

**Key Responsibilities**

The CFO will lead the development and implementation of short, medium and long-term financial strategies, including financial planning, reporting and monitoring systems. The CFO will ensure alignment with the organization's strategic direction and provide professional advice and objective financial analyses.

  • Leadership and Strategy: Develop and implement financial strategies that align with the organization's strategic direction.
  • Influence: Provide professional advice and objective financial analyses to enable decision-makers to make timely and informed business decisions.
  • Financial Management and Control: Lead the promotion and delivery of solid financial management practices to safeguard assets and ensure they are used appropriately, economically, efficiently, and effectively.
  • Direct Finance: Determine the resources, expertise and systems for the finance function that are sufficient to meet business needs.
