We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Dawson Dental in Waterloo, ON. As a key member of our dental care team, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and support.
Key Responsibilities- Provide patient care and support in a compassionate and enthusiastic manner, building strong relationships with each patient.
- Ensure patients receive optimal hygiene treatment based on clinical findings and their goals for comprehensive oral health.
- Collect patient dental and medical history to reference during examinations.
- Take X-Rays and follow all safety procedures as required.
- Examine gums for infections or gum disease.
- Educate patients on good oral hygiene habits and treatment progress.
- Update patient records and examination notes.
- Perform lab duties and maintain dental instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Call patients for aftercare and answer any questions.
- Maintain a positive attitude and work cohesively with fellow team members to provide a trusting and respectful environment.
- Successful completion of a Dental Hygiene Diploma or Degree program.
- Registered and/or licensed by the dental hygiene regulatory authority within the province, in good standing.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to make patients feel comfortable and at ease.
- Great time management and organizational skills.
- Current CPR and First Aid training.
- Competitive hourly and/or commission wage.
