Job Summary

K&D Logging is seeking an experienced Buncher Operator to join our team. As a key member of our logging crew, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our equipment, ensuring safe and efficient operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and operate logging equipment, including bunchers and other machinery
  • Ensure equipment is properly fueled and maintained to minimize downtime
  • Monitor and maintain a safe working environment, adhering to all safety protocols and regulations
  • Collaborate with other crew members to achieve daily production goals
  • Perform daily equipment checks and report any issues or concerns to management
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to stay up-to-date on the latest safety procedures and equipment operation

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Buncher Operator in a high-volume logging environment
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's license (or provincial equivalent)
  • Ability to work in a camp environment with flexibility in shift work
  • Valid OFA Level 3 First Aid Certificate an asset
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work cooperatively in a team, but also independently with minimal supervision
  • Physically fit to endure the rigors of full-time fieldwork in all conditions
  • Safe work mindset and accountability

  • Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills an asset
