About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Building Maintenance Worker to join our team at THRIVE AUTO COLLISION. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and maintenance of our premises.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sweeping and Cleaning: Sweep, mop, scrub, and wax hallways, floors, and stairs to maintain a clean and safe environment.
  • Waste Management: Empty trash cans and other waste containers, and ensure that all areas are free from clutter and debris.
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilation, plumbing, and electrical systems, and contact tradespersons for major repairs.
  • Safety and Security: Perform safety and security checks to ensure the well-being of our employees and visitors.
  • Heavy Lifting: Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies as needed.
  • Special Projects: Participate in special projects such as painting and drywall repair to maintain the appearance of our facilities.
Additional Responsibilities
  • Support for Newcomers and Refugees: Recruit and support newcomers and refugees who were displaced by a conflict or natural disaster.
  • Support for Youths: Provide awareness training to employees to create a welcoming work environment for youth.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: Experience an asset.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 30 to 35 hours per week.
