About the RoleThe successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring that meals are prepared and served safely and efficiently. This is a permanent position with a competitive salary range of $45,000 - $60,000 per year.
Key Responsibilities- Menu Planning: Plan menus that meet the dietary needs of our children, taking into account seasonal availability of ingredients and cultural diversity.
- Kitchen Management: Supervise and train kitchen staff, ensuring that they have the skills and knowledge required to prepare healthy and nutritious meals.
- Safety and Hygiene: Maintain high standards of safety and hygiene in the kitchen, adhering to relevant regulations and guidelines.
- Inventory Management: Manage kitchen supplies and inventory, ensuring that we have sufficient stock to meet demand.
- Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean and maintain the kitchen and its equipment, ensuring that it remains safe and functional.
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate is required, but not necessarily related to food service or culinary arts.
- 1-6 months of experience in a similar role is preferred.
- Permanent employment with 40 hours per week.
- Fluency in English as a working language.
