CancerCare Manitoba Nursing Assistant Job Summary

CancerCare Manitoba is a leading agency in cancer control and blood disorder treatment, providing clinical and academic services. We are seeking a skilled Nursing Assistant to join our team in the Outpatient Clinic Services Program at Victoria General Hospital.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform clerical tasks and supportive functions for patient and staff
  • Ensure patient care and comfort, as well as routine cleanliness of the clinical work environment
  • Provide personal protective equipment and training as needed
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a recognized Nursing Assistant Course (Completion of Health Care Aide and Health Unit Clerk)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Current certification in Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) or ability to obtain same prior to employment
  • Ability to perform physical activities such as lifting and transporting of patients, samples, and equipment to other areas
  • Satisfactory employment record
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous experience in ambulatory and/or inpatient care setting
