Job Overview

This Millwright Specialist role is an excellent opportunity to join our team at Dufferin Aggregates - Acton Quarry. We offer a competitive salary and a comprehensive benefits package.

Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining equipment in proper operating condition through preventative and corrective maintenance. This includes troubleshooting and repairing Ready-Mix concrete production equipment, such as belt conveyors, screw conveyors, dust collectors, pumps, pneumatic gates and actuators, compressors, boilers & water heaters, and similar equipment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain equipment in proper operating condition through preventative and corrective maintenance
  • Troubleshoot and repair Ready-Mix concrete production equipment
  • Perform welding, cutting, brazing using different techniques and with different metals
  • Hoist and rig equipment as required
  • Operate hoisting and lifting devices, such as cranes, jacks and tractors to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up, and repair of machinery
Requirements:
  • Valid industrial Millwright License
  • Completed Millwright Apprenticeship
  • Ability to obtain structural Welding certificate
  • Excellent written/oral communication skills
  • Welding, cutting, brazing using different techniques and with different metals
  • Hoisting and Rigging knowledge required
  • Knowledge of Pneumatic components and systems
  • Basic understanding and troubleshooting knowledge of pumps, fans, blowers, compressors
