Senior Java Backend Developer with React Experience

We are seeking an experienced Java Fullstack Developer with React to join our team in Mississauga, ON. The ideal candidate will have over 10 years of experience, with a strong emphasis on backend development (70%) and proficiency in React (30%). This role requires a deep understanding of both Java and React, along with expertise in various technologies and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Backend Development (70%):
    • Design, develop, and maintain robust backend systems using Java.
    • Build scalable and high-performance APIs and services.
    • Implement security and data protection measures.
    • Troubleshoot and optimize backend performance.
  • Frontend Development (30%):
    • Develop and maintain frontend applications using React.js.
    • Implement user interfaces based on design specifications.
    • Ensure responsive and interactive user experiences.
    • Integrate frontend with backend services via RESTful APIs.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    • Use TypeScript with React to enhance application quality and maintainability.
    • Integrate with AWS Identity Provider (IDP) and Cognito for authentication and authorization.
    • Work with Looker and React for data visualization and reporting.
    • Implement and manage CI/CD processes for React/Web applications.
    • Continuously troubleshoot, benchmark, and optimize both backend and frontend applications.
Requirements
  • Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in software development, with a significant focus on backend and frontend technologies.
  • Java: Proficiency in Java with a solid understanding of backend development.
  • React.js: Thorough understanding of React.js, including core principles and best practices.
  • JavaScript: Proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model.
  • TypeScript: Experience with TypeScript in React applications.
  • RESTful APIs: Familiarity with designing and consuming RESTful APIs.
  • AWS Integration: Knowledge of integrating with AWS IDP/Cognito for identity and access management.
  • Looker Integration: Experience with Looker and integrating it with React applications.
  • CI/CD: Experience with CI/CD processes for React/Web applications.
  • Troubleshooting & Optimization: Strong skills in troubleshooting, benchmarking, and optimizing applications.
  • Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
