Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Brake/Plasma Table Operator to join our team at FLINT Corp. in Sherwood Park, AB. As a key member of our fabrication team, you will be responsible for operating press brakes, plasma tables, and shears, as well as performing structural prep, fitting, and welding of iron.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate press brakes, plasma tables, and shears to fabricate metal components
- Perform structural prep, fitting, and welding of iron to meet quality and safety standards
- Conduct pre-operational routine inspections on equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation
- Identify safety risks and hazards on site and take corrective action
Requirements
- Previous experience operating press brakes and plasma tables
- Ability to handle and lift heavy objects up to 75lbs
- Proficiency in computer programs such as Plate & Sheet & ProNest
- Valid Class 5 driver's license and reliable transportation to and from the job site
- Ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly and find solutions
- Ability to work independently and follow directions
- Valid WHMIS and CSTS 2020 certifications
- Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required
