Position Type: Casual
Position Summary:
This role involves working collaboratively with a team to provide comprehensive care for children in a home-based setting, encompassing their physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure the well-being and safety of children in care;
- Provide guidance and supervision to children in daily activities;
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues;
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge;
- Contribute to a safe and healthy environment by adhering to policies and procedures.
Requirements:
- Be legally entitled to work in Canada;
- Produce current satisfactory background checks;
- Valid class 5 Driver's license preferred;
- Be physically capable of performing all child care duties;
- Have current First Aid and CPR Level C Certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with children and families in crisis;
- Ability to establish strong, positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues;
- Understanding of Indigenous history and its impact on children and families;
- Knowledge of the CFS system and standards related to child care.
