Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Chef, Ethnic Cuisine Specialist to join our team at Imagine Thai Food. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking complete meals or individual dishes and foods, as well as training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Food Costing: Determine the size of food portions and costs, plan menus, and estimate food requirements for their realization.
  • Inventory Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Culinary Expertise: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, inspect kitchens and food service areas, and train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.
  • Supply Chain Management: Order supplies and equipment, and maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment.
  • Housekeeping and Maintenance: Clean kitchen and work areas, and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years.
  • Language: English.
  • Work Hours: 40 hours per week.
