Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Physiotherapist I to join our team at the University of Alberta Hospital. As a key member of our Rehabilitation and Allied Health Program, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality care to adult patients in our Critical Care portfolio.

Our hospital offers a wide range of diagnostic and treatment services, including specialized adult services within cardiac sciences, neurosciences, surgery, medicine, orthopedics, renal, critical care, burns, transplant, and trauma inpatient programs.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $85,000 to $105,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition to a generous compensation package, we offer a comprehensive benefits plan, including health and dental coverage, retirement savings, and opportunities for professional growth and development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide therapeutic interventions to enable clients to achieve optimum physical function and independence
  • Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare teams to determine, implement, and evaluate rehabilitation strategies
  • Participate in interprofessional teams to build awareness, enrich supports, and engage in quality improvement
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physiotherapy from an accredited university program
  • Current registration with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta
  • Recent acute care experience in critical care required
  • Experience in cardiopulmonary rehabilitation is required
