Easy Skill is seeking a highly skilled Nuclear Supervisor, Construction Support to join our team in Tiverton, Ontario. As a key member of our Major Component Replacement (MCR) division, you will play a critical role in ensuring the successful execution of construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:- Safety First: Possess a strong understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and ensure that construction tasks and deliverables comply with safety requirements.
- Construction Expertise: Provide construction expertise and services for all phases of the construction project, including ensuring engineering requirements are met, scope is controlled, schedule is defined, controlled and met, and budget is defined, controlled and met.
- Leadership: Strong leadership abilities for coaching behaviours (Human Performance programs) to drive excellence in teams, peers and vendors.
- Regulatory Compliance: Knowledge of the EPSCA collective agreements with building trades and ensure compliance with regulatory standards, best industry practices, building and safety codes and other relevant regulations.
- Project Management: Plan the efficient use of resources and coordination of required construction equipment, develop and validate construction performance baseline and construction Basis of Estimate (BOE), and ensure all necessary construction permits and licenses are secured.
- Education: Qualified trade or construction management or a 4-year university degree in engineering or construction leadership with equivalent experience.
- Experience: A minimum of 6 years of construction experience (at least 3 of those years in nuclear power with responsibility for construction of complex safety systems) and experience delivering Construction Management services for major capital construction programs and projects.
- Skills: Strong knowledge of Company's policies and procedures, knowledge and understanding of the Company's Excellence Model, and certification by the Project Management Institute (PMI) as a Project or Program Management Professional (PMP, PgMP) and/or demonstrated familiarity with the PMI Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK).
