About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Payroll Technician to join our Operational Support team at Pomerleau Construction. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for processing payroll-related files and producing various reports throughout the year.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the entry of all new employees' personal information into the CMIC computer system.
  • Meticulously input time sheet hours, applying union rules for overtime, expenses, etc. in CMIC.
  • Own the transmission of our team's payroll to the financial institutions.
  • Diligently file all documents related to payroll processing successfully within our systems.
  • Support in the management of our employee onboarding and offboardings on CCQ website weekly.
  • Create balanced payroll reports and payments (remittances, unions, pensions, insurance, etc.).
  • Support various administrative tasks including issuing records of employment, vacation pay, tax forms, and providing HR dashboard updates.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of a college Diploma in finance or administration.
  • 5+ years of experience in a similar payroll position.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll processing for CCQ employees and other unions in the construction industry.
  • Passion for delivering exceptional customer service to peers.
  • Fluency in both official languages (French and English).
