About the Role

We are seeking a visionary and courageous Chief Executive Officer to lead the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo in its mission to conserve and protect wildlife and their habitats. As a world-class zoo and conservation organization, we are committed to inspiring change and making a positive impact on the world.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic leadership to the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo, ensuring the organization's mission and vision are achieved.
  • Develop and implement innovative conservation programs and initiatives that align with the organization's goals.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including community members, public officials, and professional colleagues.
  • Lead the transformation of the Wilder Institute/Calgary Zoo into a preeminent national and international conservation organization.
Requirements
  • Proven track record of leading a conservation organization or zoo.
  • Experience in building and sustaining innovative partnerships and working with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
  • Passion for conservation and a commitment to making a positive impact on the world.
