About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Gardening Helper, Landscape to join our team at Splendid Landscape Services Inc. As a key member of our outdoor maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the beauty and health of our clients' gardens and landscapes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain a neat and tidy appearance
  • Cut grass to the perfect height for a lush, green lawn
  • Rake and collect refuse to keep our outdoor spaces clean and free of debris
  • Cart and spread topsoil and other materials to enhance the soil quality and fertility
  • Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees to add color and vibrancy to our clients' gardens
  • Apply fertilizers to promote healthy plant growth and development
  • Repair and maintain equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
  • Water and tend to plants, lawns, and/or gardens to keep them thriving
  • Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure efficient and effective work
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and humidity
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with multiple tasks and deadlines
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
  • Will train on the job
  • Permanent employment opportunity
  • 30-40 hours per week
  • English language proficiency
