We are seeking an experienced carpenter to join our team at Handyman Connection of Metro Vancouver, BC. As a skilled craftsman, you will be responsible for performing and coordinating the cutting, shaping, and installation of building materials during construction, remodeling, or repair in a residential and light commercial setting.

The ideal candidate will have experience as a residential carpenter, a positive attitude, and the ability to work independently. You must have a current driver's license, pass a background check, and carry liability insurance and workers' compensation.

Responsibilities:

  • Construct, install, and repair structures and fixtures of various types of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
  • Determine and clearly identify proper materials and material quantities for new and existing projects.
  • Evaluate customer requests, price projects, troubleshoot customer issues, and present a description of a work order to a customer.

Requirements:

  • Current driver's license and background check.
  • Tools, vehicle, and good references.
  • Experience in the remodeling or home repair trades.
  • Pass screening process.
  • Liability insurance and workers' compensation (for independent contractors).
  • Smart phone and access to the internet.
