We are seeking a skilled Carpenter to join our team at MME. As a Carpenter, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and safety of our construction projects.
Key Responsibilities- Project Planning: Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine work requirements.
- Site Preparation: Prepare layouts in conformance to building codes, using measuring tools.
- Material Handling: Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
- Construction: Build foundations, install floor beams, lay subflooring, and erect walls and roof systems.
- Finishing Touches: Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings, and hardware.
- Maintenance and Repair: Maintain, repair, and renovate residences and wooden structures in mills, mines, hospitals, industrial plants, and other establishments.
- Experience: Previous experience in the field of employment is an asset.
- Equipment and Machinery: Proficiency in the use of hand tools.
- Transportation and Travel: Willingness to travel regularly and possession of a valid driver's license.
- Personal Qualities: Accurate, reliable, team player, and punctual.
