World Renew is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Director, International Disaster Response to lead our humanitarian response efforts. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight to our International Disaster Response team, ensuring that our programs are of high quality, timely, and effective.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide vision, leadership, and strategic direction to the International Disaster Response team
  • Develop and implement high-quality disaster response programs that meet the needs of affected communities
  • Manage and oversee the day-to-day operations of the IDR team, including budgeting, resource allocation, and personnel management
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local partners
  • Ensure that our programs are responsive to the evolving global humanitarian context and adhere to best practice humanitarian principles
Requirements:
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in humanitarian response, with a strong background in disaster management and leadership
  • Proven track record of designing and implementing high-quality disaster response programs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex environments and make informed decisions
  • Fluency in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in writing and verbally
