Tyndale University invites applications for a full-time faculty position in theological education. As an assistant professor of teaching, the successful candidate will teach six courses per year, focusing on introductory and elective theology courses in various formats.
Job Description:- Teach six courses per year in a variety of formats (in-person, synchronous online, asynchronous online).
- Model intellectual rigor in the classroom while integrating theology with Christian life and ministry.
- Contribute to theological scholarship through ongoing research and writing.
- Participate fully in the academic and community life of the seminary, including departmental and committee work.
- Teaching: Develop and deliver high-quality course materials, assess student learning, and provide feedback.
- Research: Engage in ongoing scholarly research, publish articles and books, and present at conferences.
- Service: Participate in departmental and committee work, network with leaders in the field, and contribute to the life of a local congregation.
- A PhD in systematic or historical theology.
- Primary or secondary expertise in the theology of the Reformation.
- Successful teaching experience, preferably in a seminary context.
- Experience with a variety of teaching formats, including online delivery.
- A record of publication, as appropriate for the stage of the applicant's academic career.
