About the Role

American Iron & Metal Company is seeking a skilled Forklift Operator to join our team at the AIM Recyclage Québec site. As a Forklift Operator, you will play a critical role in maintaining the general maintenance of the premises, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring the safe operation of our equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate a forklift to move materials and equipment around the facility
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including unloading trailers and interacting with customers
  • Sort and classify different types of metals
  • Weigh and record material
  • Perform general maintenance tasks to ensure the facility remains clean and organized
  • Wear personal protective equipment and follow safety protocols

Requirements

  • Experience operating a forklift (a must)
  • Experience in metal recycling (an asset)
  • Knowledge of metals (an asset)
