Job Title: Vice-President of Operations

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Vice-President of Operations to join our team at Stonewood Group Inc.

About the Role

The Vice-President of Operations will be responsible for leading the operations team to ensure the efficient and effective execution of our production processes. This includes evaluating current systems, processes, and metrics to identify areas for improvement and implementing changes to minimize production costs and waste while maximizing production and quality outputs.

The successful candidate will have a strong track record of leadership and experience in implementing best practices in operations, quality systems, and engineering. They will be able to cultivate positive working relationships with staff, peers, and superiors, and have a proven ability to drive results without much supervision.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the operations team to achieve strategic objectives and improve operational efficiency
  • Evaluate current systems, processes, and metrics to identify areas for improvement
  • Implement changes to minimize production costs and waste while maximizing production and quality outputs
  • Develop and implement a continuous improvement culture across the organization
  • Work closely with the sales, finance, and product development teams to achieve business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with all provincial and national regulatory standards pertaining to health and safety, quality, and labor management
Requirements
  • 10-15 years of broad-based manufacturing, operations, engineering process management, process improvement, and related experience within the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical sector
  • Experience in implementing best practices in operations, quality systems, and engineering
  • Significant change management and business transformation experience within mid-sized and private businesses
  • Strong leadership abilities and a dynamic, self-motivated approach
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills
