Mortgage Underwriter Responsibilities:

  • Reviewing and processing mortgage applications from various sources.
  • Verifying information on applications and with credit bureaus to ensure accuracy.
  • Building relationships with referral sources to ensure volume, asset quality, and profitability targets are met.
  • Delivering quick and creative mortgage solutions to structure files in accordance with company guidelines.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of underwriting and documentation experience.
  • Knowledge of real estate and covenant assessments, legislation, and land title systems in all provinces preferred.
