Job Summary:The Optometrist Assistant will be responsible for providing top-notch customer service, assisting with patient exams, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient experiences and is looking to grow their career in the eyecare industry.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide exceptional customer service to patients, responding to their needs and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
- Assist Optometrists with patient exams, including preparing patients for exams, taking vital signs, and maintaining accurate records.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all equipment and supplies are properly stored and easily accessible.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, Optometrists, and other team members to ensure a positive and productive work environment.
- Stay up-to-date on the latest eyecare technologies and trends, and provide recommendations to patients and Optometrists as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Practice Manager or as business needs dictate.
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Strong customer service skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Basic math skills and ability to accurately process transactions.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with patients, Optometrists, and other team members.
- Familiarity with technology, such as point-of-sale systems and patient record systems.
- Ability to work in a team environment and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced setting.
- Eyecare experience, preferably in an optometric setting.
- Sales experience, preferably in a retail or customer-facing environment.
