Job Summary

The Risk Lead role is a critical position within the Ontario Line project, responsible for implementing the project risk management strategy for a large P3 package. The scope of work includes design and construction of station buildings, guideway structures, station platforms, and station amenities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Organize and facilitate risk and issues review meetings, ensuring effective risk identification, assessment, and treatment.
  • Maintain and update risk registers and issue logs in Sword Active Risk Manager System (ARM) at the project and program level.
  • Collaborate with risk owners to ensure mitigation actions are on track and effective.
  • Develop and maintain reporting schedules and ensure consistent data sets.
  • Communicate risk information according to established procedures and work instructions.
  • Monitor and record upcoming issues, critical items, and risks in weekly meetings.
  • Review contractor reports for new risks and issues to include in the risk register and issue log.
  • Engage with contractors and project teams to ensure risk management activities align with project requirements.
  • Ensure program team members comply with the risk management plan, procedures, and requirements.
  • Perform quantitative cost and schedule risk analysis using risk management software.
  • Prepare detailed project and program risk reports, including P50 and P80 cost and schedule risk exposures.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field, with 5-8 years of experience.
  • In lieu of degree, 9-12 years of relevant work experience.
  • Certification in risk management, such as PMI-RMP.
  • Experience with large construction or infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in facilitating risk and issues reviews with large teams.
  • Experience with Active Risk Manager (ARM) and Safran Risk for Quantitative Risk Analysis (QRA).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
