Job Overview

This role is an exciting opportunity for a skilled financial analyst to join our team and contribute to making a positive impact through investments. The successful candidate will have a unique chance to work on private debt and equity investments with international financial services institutions.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Strategic Financial Analyst to support our investment process. Key responsibilities include:

  • Collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and interpreting data to track existing investments and identify new opportunities;
  • Conducting financial analysis related to investment opportunities;
  • Preparing financial models, management reports, and follow-up information reports/analysis on indicators and scales related to investments;
  • Participating in account reporting activities and creating external reports;

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, be able to synthesize complex information, and demonstrate a strong ability to learn quickly in a dynamic environment. Proficiency in MS Office tools, particularly Excel, is essential. Bilingualism or multilingualism, especially in English and Spanish, is an asset.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A bachelor's degree in finance or a relevant field;
  • A professional designation (CFA) or be in the process of obtaining it;
  • At least 2 years of experience in financial analysis related to investment activities;
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills;
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail;
What We Offer

As a Strategic Financial Analyst at Desjardins Group, you can expect a competitive salary range of $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. Additionally, you will benefit from our comprehensive benefits package, including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
