We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team and contribute to a special project focused on expanding access to ultrasound technology.
About Your Role
You will be responsible for designing and developing electronic systems and prototypes for high-volume manufacturing, conducting tests and experiments, and supporting production and contract manufacturing.
Your Responsibilities
- Design and develop electronic systems and prototypes for high-volume manufacturing
- Conduct tests, experiments, and studies to ensure system performance and safety
- Support production and contract manufacturing, including manufacturing file creation and quality control
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring up and validate new systems and boards
- Proactively manage issues and schedules to ensure timely delivery of projects
- Document and report on project progress and results
About You
- Bachelor's degree in electrical/computer engineering or related field
- 7-10 years experience in schematic capture and PCB layout, preferably with Cadence OrCAD/Allegro
- Experience developing electronics for medical devices, including FPGA, MPU, MCU, and high-speed digital interfaces
- Direct experience designing electronics with Xilinx FPGA/SoC, ARM-A core, STM32 MCU, and related peripherals circuits
- Experience with HDI PCB (up to 20L with blind/buried vias) and FPC design
- Experience with SMT soldering and rework
- Experience with writing VHDL and embedded C/C++ is an asset
- Proficiency with test and measurement equipment (e.g., oscilloscope, DMM, spectrum analyzer, logic analyzer, etc)
- Experience working within IEC 60601 Standard, ISO 13485 environment or other regulated sector
About Working with Us
- A competitive salary range of $101,000 - $120,000
- A flexible work arrangement, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule after the initial contract period
