Toromont Reman is seeking a skilled Reman Production Supervisor to lead our team in delivering exceptional results. As a key liaison for corporate initiatives, you will provide leadership and direction to a team of technicians, ensuring work is conducted safely and to the highest standards of quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Model safe, environmentally sound, and healthy work behaviors in support of Toromont's Health and Safety Policies, Programs, and initiatives.
  • Provide excellent customer service as the key contact for shop production requirements and schedule work to maximize productivity of shop operations.
  • Investigate and report accidents or near misses.
  • Coach and mentor technicians to meet and exceed customer and business expectations.
  • Provide direction on repairs with regards to financial implications of work orders, including customer pay, warranties, policies, and redo's.
  • Manage work-in-progress (WIP).
  • Responsible for maintaining contamination control standards.
  • Encourage continuous improvement within the production shop with the Process and Quality team.
  • Manage fixed assets in the shop and help to prepare plans for capital expenditures.
  • Manage and execute training requirements, performance evaluations, and coaching sessions for direct reports.
  • Collaborate and work closely with Exchange Sales Teams.
  • Work with a sense of urgency and foster a team environment to encourage growth.

Requirements:

  • Post-Secondary Education with a technical focus and up to 3 years of experience in a supervisory position within a shop environment.
  • Safety-conscious with a solid technical aptitude for heavy equipment, Caterpillar, competitive product lines, and current marketplace industry knowledge.
  • Exceptional communication, relationship development, and interpersonal skills.
  • Customer-centric with effective team building, coaching, and leadership.
  • Proven business and financial acumen with effective decision-making skills.
  • Ability to drive sales with strong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively adapt and prioritize in a fast-paced environment with constant deadlines and changing priorities.
  • Self-directed, independent, and a team player with high initiative and integrity.
  • Computer and systems literate with proficiencies in DBS, Excel, and Word.
  • Knowledge of Cat SIS or experience with Toromont operations would be an asset.
