About the Role

MADSEN'S CUSTOM CABINETS (1983) LTD. is seeking a skilled Cabinetmaker's Helper to join our team. As a Cabinetmaker's Helper, you will assist our experienced cabinetmakers in the production of high-quality custom cabinets and furniture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance work to ensure our workshop and equipment are in good working order.
  • Study plans and specifications to understand the requirements for each project, including drawings and designs.
  • Assist in the assembly of cabinets and furniture by trimming joints, fitting parts together, and reinforcing joints.
  • Repair or restyle wooden furniture and fixtures to meet customer specifications.
  • Sand and finish wooden surfaces to a high standard, applying veneer, stain, or polish as required.
Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • Work in a fast-paced workshop environment with a focus on quality and attention to detail.
  • Be physically fit and able to lift and move heavy objects.
