Key Responsibilities
  • Shop Operations
    • Oversee the daily activities of shop personnel, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
    • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the shop, yard, and storage rooms.
  • Equipment Maintenance
    • Work with shop personnel to ensure equipment is properly maintained and serviced.
    • Monitor equipment certifications, expiration dates, and calibrations.
  • Inventory Management
    • Keep track of equipment and maintain an accurate fleet count.
    • Ensure insurances and CVIPs are up to date and scheduled accordingly.
  • Facilities Management
    • Ensure the yard is free of debris, overgrown vegetation, and clutter.
    • Organize and maintain field books and supplies.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Work effectively with shop personnel, management, and other departments to achieve common goals.
    • Communicate clearly and concisely, both verbally and in writing.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
    • Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certifications and Licenses
    • Valid driver's license required.
    • Ability to obtain and maintain required safety certifications (H2S Alive, First Aid, CSO).
