Job Title: Welder

East Coast Diesel is seeking a skilled Welder to join our team. As a Welder, you will be responsible for operating manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operate manual or semi-automatic welding equipment to fabricate or repair metal parts and products
  • Read and interpret welding blueprints, drawings specifications, manuals and processes
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications
  • Operate brakes, shears and other metal shaping, straightening and bending machines
  • Fit, braze and torch-straighten metal
  • Operate oxygen arc cutting equipment (arc-air), (AOC)
  • Determine weldability of materials
  • Maintain and perform minor repairs on welding, brazing and soldering equipment
Work Environment:

As a Welder at East Coast Diesel, you will work in a fast-paced environment with repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, and requiring manual dexterity, attention to detail, and hand-eye coordination.

Requirements:
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
