We are seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Service Delivery team at Medavie Blue Cross. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading a team of experienced project managers and driving the execution of a diverse portfolio of projects in a complex, innovative, and matrixed environment.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a team of up to 10 experienced project managers and provide guidance and direction on performance, career advancement, succession planning, and continuous learning.
- Establish strong relationships with stakeholders, IT services, and business partners through influential leadership, situational awareness, reactivity, and ambiguity management.
- Develop and execute projects to optimize performance by defining objectives, providing direction, and motivating stakeholders.
- Support daily operations and continuous growth and evolution of our Service Delivery team to advance how we execute projects as an organization.
- Direct projects throughout their lifecycle and possess advanced skills to motivate other project managers through effective communication and high emotional intelligence.
- Engage and motivate employees.

- Recruit, hire, and onboard new employees.
- Plan and execute: Ensure the project management team works in accordance with project management frameworks and processes throughout the project lifecycle.

- Manage resources and stakeholders: Manage personnel allocation based on business priorities and needs, and collaborate with others to achieve tasks by establishing and maintaining effective professional relationships with various stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
- Determine areas for improvement to advance project realization in the Service Delivery team by implementing lessons learned from previous projects.

- Expertise in Waterfall, Agile, and hybrid delivery methodologies.
- Practical knowledge of project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Visio, Office Suite, Jira).
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, critical thinking, and ability to resolve problems and accomplish multiple tasks with conflicting priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex problems for clear communication and effective resolution.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with clients, internal, and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional influencing skills, with ability to engage at all levels of the organization.
- Proven success in stakeholder management, risk management, and change management, working with multiple levels of leadership in a complex matrixed project environment.
- Deep understanding of project governance models for complex multi-stream projects.
- Collaborative management style.
- Strong business acumen and situational awareness.
- Experience in the healthcare or insurance industry (preferable).
- PMP certification.
