Director of Engineering Operations

At Electronic Arts, we strive to create exceptional experiences for our players worldwide. The Director of Engineering Operations plays a pivotal role in bridging the gaps between engineering teams and the delivery group, ensuring seamless collaboration and efficient operations.


Key Responsibilities
  • Agile Framework Development: Design and implement scalable Agile processes to foster rapid response and stability, standardizing best practices to support organizational growth.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate day-to-day engineering risks, ensuring situational awareness and proactive mitigation strategies.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration and Oversight: Engage with stakeholders to monitor progress, align initiatives with EA's strategic goals, and oversee value streams, project phases, and TPMs to maintain transparency and accountability.
  • Change Leadership: Spearhead initiatives to meet strategic objectives, crafting and implementing change management strategies, facilitating the adoption of new processes, and ensuring alignment of business and technology strategies with core objectives.
  • Resource Management and Long-term Planning: Lead long-term planning and resource allocation, collaborating with peers to manage headcount, risk, forecasting, and budgeting.
  • Continuous Improvement Advocacy: Serve as a consultant and coach to identify opportunities for efficiency gains, implementing workflows to advance operations, and promoting a culture of innovation and excellence.
  • Communication and Information Architecture: Establish structures for communication and information access, refining strategies to improve transparency.
Qualifications
  • 8+ years of experience in Agile leadership and product delivery, with a strong understanding of Agile principles, practices, and theory.
  • Experience in coaching, mentoring, and empowering teams, with a proven track record of driving strategic plans and aligning teams towards common goals.
  • Strong understanding of both operational and technological principles, with experience driving operational transformation and change management within a technology-driven organization.
