Job Description

The Director of Software Applications will be responsible for managing the development delivery of mission-critical SOC1/SOX applications and productivity tools. You will direct the work scope, schedule, and teams to ensure successful project completion within budget and on time. Additionally, you will be responsible for architectural decisions, shaping the future technology direction of Finance IT, and ensuring the stability, performance, and compliance of applications in the portfolio.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage development delivery against mission-critical SOC1/SOX applications and productivity tools.
  • Direct the work scope, schedule, and teams to ensure successful project completion within budget and on time.
  • Make architectural decisions for all relevant applications in line with the agreed strategy and roadmap.
  • Shape the future technology direction of Finance IT.
  • Ensure the stability, performance, and compliance of applications in the portfolio.
Requirements
  • Strong understanding of IBM Planning Analytics/TM1, Oracle-PCMCS, Big Data, and Full Stack Programming products.
  • Good understanding of Enterprise Performance Management concepts, including Financial Planning and Analysis, Financial Consolidation, and Cost Allocations.
  • Infrastructure knowledge, including Client/Server, SaaS, Mainframe, etc.
  • DevOps knowledge, including Github, Jenkins, Helios, Nexus, UCD, etc.
  • Good handle on SDLC concepts and extensive experience in leading large teams.
  • Strong Communication and presentation skills, comfortable presenting to Executive level audiences.
  • Professional with experience on multiple projects with multiple interfaces and/or 3rd party software packages.
  • 10-12 years of demonstrated leadership experience managing, motivating, and providing mentorship to resources on high-performing IT Development Teams.
  • Understanding and technical knowledge in cross-platform and cross-database space.
  • Experience with multi-tier system development for large enterprises.
  • Strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills required to operate as a leading member of global distributed technical teams that deliver world-class services.
