About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Platform Catalog team at Wayfair. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of technology at Wayfair.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and maintain cutting-edge solutions that enable reuse and extensibility while solving complex problems at scale.
  • Build solutions for multiple services, work in the code, and understand at a detailed level how the software works.
  • Cultivate a deep understanding of how your systems impact Wayfair's customers, field associates, and other systems.
  • Contribute to a culture of engineering excellence and strengthen the technical expertise of our engineering and product teams.
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholder teams to build complex system integrations and interactions.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent design and architectural skills with strong fundamentals in system design, data structures, and algorithms.
  • Experience as a full-stack, full-lifecycle software engineer and deep understanding of a modern programming language (preferably Python and TypeScript).
  • Capability to collaborate with cross-functional teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with an inclusive, adaptable, and persuasive communication style.
  • Result-oriented mindset with the ability to quickly translate business requirements into working features.
  • Proficient in effective troubleshooting and issue resolution techniques.
  • Preferably with experience with Cloud technology such as GCP.
