Chief Financial Officer

United Way British Columbia is seeking a highly skilled Chief Financial Officer to join our senior leadership team. As a strategic partner, you will be responsible for overseeing our financial services, assets, resources, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial strategies, business plans, and corporate budgets to optimize financial resources.
  • Oversee accounting, payroll, donor services, and office/building administration functions.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, audit, tax, and budgeting activities.
  • Manage risks and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborate with the Board of Directors, Finance Committee, and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and effective financial management.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance or business with a CPA in good standing.
  • Strong knowledge of current Canadian legal operating context around investments.
  • Experience with the Municipal Pension Plan (MPP) and working within a unionized environment is an asset.
