Biologics Development Specialist

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist with a strong background in immunology and oncology to join our team at AbCellera. As a key member of our research team, you will contribute to the assessment and development of antibody-based oncology drug candidates, driving our mission to propel antibody-based medicines from target to clinic.
Key Responsibilities- Design and execute in vivo pharmacology and pharmacodynamic studies in immuno-oncology and other disease indications
- Support the design and monitoring of in vivo study operations, ensuring seamless execution and data quality
- Develop and perform ELISA, MSD, and other molecular biology assays on study samples, driving insights and discoveries
- Develop new bioanalytical methods, optimize workflows, and execute laboratory techniques related to tumour xenograft models, advancing our understanding of complex biological systems
- Collaborate with in vitro biology, protein engineering, and pharmacokinetics scientists, as well as external CROs and collaborators, to execute efficient PK/PD studies, identifying lead molecules and advancing programs to human trials
- Report findings to internal program teams and partners, supporting data-driven decisions and driving program success
- Support investigational new drug and clinical trial applications, ensuring compliance and regulatory excellence
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in oncology, immuno-oncology, and biologics drug development
- PhD in pharmacology, immunology, or related field, or MSc with 4-6 years of experience in a biopharmaceutical industry setting
- Proven interpersonal skills and ability to create value on cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of the 3Rs and research ethics
- Genuine curiosity and interest in discussing innovative ideas in a highly collaborative and fast-paced environment
- Ability to communicate scientific and/or technical concepts with an emphasis on application
- Capacity to independently identify project needs and follow up with constructing and implementing solutions
- Enjoyment of teamwork and building data sets that help predict the success of therapies
AbCellera offers a competitive salary range of CAD $75,200 - $94,000 annually, commensurate with your education and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition to base salary, we offer equity, annual bonus dependent on team and company performance, and a 6% (non-match) RRSP contribution. You will also receive a CAD $1,500 annual Active Lifestyle Allowance, annual vacation, opportunity for flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities, and comprehensive health benefits.
