Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manager/Manager to join our team. This leadership position will report directly to the partner group and provide support to all members of the team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public accounting or a related field, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality service and business advice to clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and manage client relationships at a senior level, identifying opportunities for growth and development.
  • Review personal and corporate tax returns, as well as audit, review, and compilation engagements, and financial statement disclosures.
  • Deliver high-quality service and business advice to clients, leveraging expertise in accounting standards and tax laws.
  • Work closely with partners and senior staff to develop and implement business processes and compliance strategies.
  • Provide support, coaching, and development to firm staff at all levels, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous learning.
  • Prepare and present technical and internal sessions to firm staff, sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • Manage engagement financials, including budgets, work-in-process variances, and billing.

Requirements

  • Chartered Professional Accountants (CPA) designation or equivalent.
  • 5-10+ years of public accounting or related experience.
  • High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams), Caseware, and TaxPrep.
  • Excellent attention to detail and project management skills.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of a client-focused, fast-paced work environment and ability to effectively prioritize and manage deliverables.
  • Experience working with owner-managed businesses an asset.
