Job Title: Carbon Products Analyst

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Carbon Products Analyst to join our team. As a Carbon Products Analyst, you will play a critical role in developing and providing carbon products to serve carbon markets.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct market research and analysis to support carbon product development efforts.
  • Assist in the quality assurance of data for carbon removal certificates and validate the carbon intensity of our fuel products.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to support effective engagement with product purchasers.
  • Monitor and analyze developments in compliance and voluntary carbon markets.
  • Support the effort to standardize methodologies across compliance and voluntary carbon markets.
  • Maintain the team's document library for key messaging and position papers.
  • Support the drafting of scopes of work for contracts with carbon verification bodies.
  • Perform research and gather data on markets for our products and services.
  • Analyze market data, present findings, and provide support to aid in business development efforts.
  • Research and develop competitive intelligence about leads and prospects.
  • Develop presentations and support preparation of material for proposals.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or finance.

Experience & Capabilities: 3-5 years experience in engineering, finance, technology development, and/or carbon markets. Experience in some, or all, of the following are an asset:

  • Product development and processes, especially carbon clean technology.
  • Carbon standards and methodologies.
  • Market research and analysis.
  • Carbon intensity calculations and life cycle analysis.
  • Knowledge of decarbonizing hard-to-abate sectors.
  • Understanding of carbon registries and carbon accounting.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Resourceful in finding efficiency improvements.
  • Strong collaboration skills in a team environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
  • Quantitative analytical skills and working knowledge of statistics.
  • Data literacy and analytics skills.
