As a Senior Software Developer at Verafin, you will have the opportunity to work on a variety of challenges, with a focus on creating innovative solutions to prevent check fraud. You will use your problem-solving skills and code writing expertise to bring fresh new ideas to life, contributing to the fight against crimes such as human trafficking, elder abuse, and drug trafficking.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Collaborate with your team to deliver project requirements and design solutions to solve technical problems.
  2. Mentor and coach team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  3. Complete code reviews to ensure quality and help develop new features, bug fixes, and optimizations.
Essential Skills & Qualifications
  1. A university degree or college diploma in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.
  2. 2 years of development experience, with a strong analytical mindset and creativity to solve complex problems.
  3. Experience in pulling and analyzing large datasets, translating customer/business requirements into analytical model implementation.
  4. Experience in object-oriented software development, with a willingness to ask for help, learn from, and mentor others.
  5. Top-notch interpersonal and organizational skills, making teamwork a positive experience.
  6. Experience in Java or Python, with experience in machine learning frameworks such as Amazon SageMaker.
Desirable Skills
  1. Experience in Core Banking Systems, Amazon Web Services, intelligent systems, artificial intelligence, and data science.
  2. Strong SQL query and optimization skills, with experience in big data technologies such as Hadoop or Spark.
  3. Familiarity with natural language processing techniques, database technologies (PostgresSQL), and data extraction, transformation/cleansing, and integration.
