  • Oversee all aspects of accounting and financial reporting for our Halifax branch.
  • Responsible for full cycle accounting, accounts payable & receivable invoice/payment processing, account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, cash flow analysis & budget preparation, data entry, financial statement preparation, analysis, and reporting.
  • Ensure accurate journal entries and general ledger analysis, filing T1 & T2 returns, HST remittances, payroll & benefits processing including remittances, ROE's, T4, T4A, & T5 generation.
  • Lead the hiring, training, and development of the operational accounting team.

**Requirements**

We require:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • CPA Designation is required.
  • 3-5 years of hands-on full cycle accounting experience.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, as well as on a team.
  • Dedicated and self-motivated with outstanding attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong financial, analytical, and business acumen skills.
  • Experience with Accounting software such as QuickBooks is required.
