General Surgeon

We are seeking a highly skilled General Surgeon to join our team at Sir Thomas Roddick Hospital in Stephenville, Newfoundland and Labrador.

This is a full-time, salaried position responsible for providing inpatient and outpatient General Surgery services, including elective and emergency surgeries.

• Perform a range of surgical procedures, including general surgery and emergency surgeries
• Provide high-quality patient care and management
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
• Participate in on-call rotations and provide emergency surgical services as needed

To be successful in this role, you will require:

• A medical degree and eligibility for licensure as a General Surgeon with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Newfoundland and Labrador
• Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada certification or eligibility
• Meet the credentialing requirements of Western Health's Discipline of Surgery

We offer a competitive salary range of $263,672 to $285,596 per annum, as well as an annual retention bonus and additional benefits.

Western Health is a regional health authority that provides healthcare services to a population of approximately 78,000 people in western Newfoundland. We are affiliated with Memorial University of Newfoundland and Labrador Faculty of Medicine and encourage and support academic interests.
