Job Title: Housekeeping Room Attendant

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Housekeeping Room Attendant to join our team at Courtyard by Marriott Nanaimo. As a key member of our housekeeping team, you will be responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and comfort of our guest rooms and public areas.

Responsibilities:
  • Cleaning and Maintenance: Sweep, mop, wash, and polish floors, dust furniture, vacuum carpeting, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture, make beds, and change sheets.
  • Guest Services: Distribute clean towels and toiletries, stock linen closets, clean and disinfect kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances, and handle and report lost and found items.
  • Assisting Guests: Assist clients with bathing and other aspects of personal hygiene, launder clothing and household linens, mend clothing and linens, and perform light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
  • Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Ability to work independently, fast-paced environment, work under pressure, repetitive tasks, physically demanding, attention to detail, bending, crouching, kneeling, combination of sitting, standing, and walking.
Requirements:
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
  • Experience: 7 months to less than 1 year.
