This is a unique opportunity to join our Upstream Development Strategy & Reserves Department in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia, as a Petroleum Economics Specialist. You will be part of a team that manages one of the world's largest portfolios of onshore and offshore oil and gas fields.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the conceptualization of oil and gas field developments and their commerciality assessments.
  • Conduct holistic corporate modeling and decision analysis to support field development plan concepts.
  • Participate in project technical reviews and assess proposals for new or modified operating procedures.
  • Conduct economic studies and cost analyses to evaluate alternative courses of action.
  • Offer guidance on upstream investment opportunities.
  • Perform impairment assessments on upstream assets.
  • Manage field portfolio and rank projects.
  • Develop and update guidelines for upstream economics evaluation.
  • Develop less senior staff by designing and implementing professional development programs.
  • Represent the company in external technical conferences, symposia, and forums.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or a related discipline, with advanced degrees in Business, Petroleum Economics, Finance, or related fields highly beneficial.
  • At least 15 years of experience gained through reputable oil and gas consulting and/or E&P companies specializing in PE technical disciplines.
  • Strong familiarity with geology, geophysics, petrophysics, drilling operations, completion methods, artificial lift, well testing, flow assurance, production operations, surface facilities design, and cost estimation.
  • Experience working in a large organization with a varied portfolio of reservoirs or a broad range of experience in smaller companies.
  • Expertise in oil and gas reservoir development and depletion plans.
  • Proficient in investment decision analysis, including risk and uncertainty, strategic long-term production plans, and portfolio analysis.
  • Extensive experience in presenting to executive management and large audiences.
