About the Role

We are seeking a Medical Laboratory Assistant to join our team at Lady Minto Hospital. As a key member of the Department of Laboratory Medicine, Pathology and Medical Genetics, you will be responsible for performing a range of laboratory procedures, including specimen collection, preparation, and analysis.

  • Working closely with laboratory professionals to ensure accurate and efficient test results
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace to meet quality standards
  • Providing excellent customer service to patients and healthcare staff
Responsibilities

Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Collecting and processing blood and other specimens
  • Preparing and distributing samples for analysis
  • Operating laboratory equipment, such as urinalysis machines
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, you must have:

  • A recognized Laboratory Assistant certification or diploma
  • One year of recent experience in a laboratory setting
  • A valid BC Class 5 Vehicle Licence
