Al-Madina Jewellers is a renowned jewellery establishment seeking an experienced Gemstone Specialist to join our team.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in gemstone appraisal, cutting, and setting. They will be responsible for examining and appraising gemstones and diamonds, identifying rare specimens, and detecting any peculiarity affecting stone values.

In addition, the successful candidate will be skilled in fabricating and repairing precious and semi-precious metal jewellery, as well as setting precious and semi-precious stones in jewellery mountings. They will also supervise other jewellers or watch repairers within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Appraise gemstones and diamonds to identify rare specimens and detect any peculiarity affecting stone values
  • Examine, cut, shape, and polish diamonds and precious and synthetic gems
  • Fabricate and repair precious and semi-precious metal jewellery
  • Set precious and semi-precious stones in jewellery mountings
Requirements

We are looking for an individual with:

  • 2 years of experience in the jewellery industry
  • Excellent knowledge of gemstones and diamonds
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary range of $60,000 - $80,000 per annum, depending on experience. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
